Misdemeanour Law
Representation of individuals, entrepreneurs, and legal entities in misdemeanour proceedings.
Misdemeanour proceedings may have significant financial and business consequences for individuals, entrepreneurs, legal entities, and their responsible persons.
We provide advice and representation from the initiation of proceedings through the decision and the use of available legal remedies.
Although misdemeanours are often seen as minor, the consequences can be serious: high fines, protective measures, penalty points or a ban on carrying out an activity. We therefore approach these proceedings with full attention.
Areas of Practice
- Defence in misdemeanour proceedings
- Traffic offences
- Commercial and tax offences
- Offences committed by legal entities and responsible persons
- Requests for judicial review
- Appeals against misdemeanour decisions
- Enforcement of misdemeanour sanctions
How We Help
We analyse the misdemeanour order or the request to initiate proceedings, check whether the legal requirements are met and whether the offence was properly established, and propose the best way to respond.
We represent individuals, entrepreneurs, companies and responsible persons before misdemeanour courts, present defence evidence and appeal first-instance decisions.
How We Work Together
- Review of the act – we analyse the order, the report or the request to initiate proceedings.
- Deciding how to respond – we assess whether to pay the fine or request a court decision.
- Defence in court – we represent you at the hearing and propose evidence.
- Appeal – we challenge the decision where there are grounds.
Good to Know
A misdemeanour order can be answered within eight days, either by paying or by requesting a court decision. If nothing is done within that time, the order becomes final and enforceable, so advice should be sought immediately.
Even a small case deserves a serious defence.
